The first Bellingham Hotel - derelict hotel in early settlement
Note attached: "Extra. The first Bellingham Hotel was built in a settlement north of Fairhaven. This was the first place called Bellingham. It was expected by the builders that the Northern Pacific Railroad would make their terminus on Bellingham Bay. The Bellingham town site was purchased by Nelson Bennett in 1888 and was added to Fairhaven."
