Peter Denis
Peter Denis, source of information on local mines. He reported to Biery that he was born in France in 1860, came to the U.S. with his parents in 1863, came to Whatcom County in 1873 where his father worked in the coal mines and farmed. Denis went to work at Sehome mine in 1876 at age 16 as a pump tender.
