Chip Groom, G.A. McIntosh, Frazer Jenkins and unidentified man in from of G.A. McIntosh general store
Back caption: "The other gentleman in the door, the tolerable long neck is Jenkins. The other moses is a half witted customer." "Chip Groom, G. A. McIntosh, Frazer Jenkins, Paper boy?" Four men are posed in the doorway of the G. A. McIntosh hardware store located at 1708 11th Street, Fairhaven. The hatless man, George A. McIntosh, was the owner of this hardware store from 1900 through 1904. In 1905 he was at 1208 11th Street and in 1906 he was no longer in Bellingham. On the left is Burt W. 'Chip' Groom who worked next door at the Adams & Co. Hardware Store. Frazer Jenkins, second from the right, was manager of Bellingham Livery and Transfer, Co., in 1910. Numerous boxes are stacked on the sidewalk in front of the store. Some are labeled "Stearns Bicycles." Rakes and pitchforks lean against the storefront windows. Signs painted on the windows read: "Stoves & Ranges" and "Hardware & Cutlery."
