A time card for the Steamer Regie accompanies the poem. The Regie ran on Lake Whatcom, Wa, connecting with a stage (probably horse and wagon) to Wickersham. Regie, with a repution as a smuggler on the Sound, was sold to Yorkston and Johnson in 1895 and operated on Lake Whatcom until 1900 when it was traded for a lumber mill owned by Brannian. It burned in 1903.
