Northwestern Shipyard, Bellingham, Washington

Northwestern Shipyard was at the foot of Harris Avenue in Fairhaven at the Port of Bellingham. It was an emergency shipyard started in 1942 by Seattle investors led by Jack Gilbert and closed in 1945; there were several such shipyards created during both world wars.
