- This house is at 1000 North Garden Street. In 1901, this house was occupied by Harvey. L. and Clara V. Dickenson. In the 1890s, Harvey was a real estate speculator and Fairhaven promoter. He also particiated in the transport of prospectors to the gold country of Alaska. He was charter member of The Cougar Club, organized in 1901. Harvey & Clara had no children. His sister, Carrie Jane Dickenson, and his brother, Merville C. Dickenson, also lived inthis house. Merville C. Dickenson, Jr. eventually inherited the house and the family retained possession until 2002.See also GB1423.

- Large clapboard colonial house with hip roof and a chimney on both ends. A walk and steps lead from the street up the terraced front lawn to the house. Adams Street is in the lower right corner of the photo. Although not identified in the photo this is 519 16th Street in Bellingham. The original owner was John Wilkinson, owner of Famous Shoe Store. The house was eventually owned by Dr. Gustav Hodge, who lived there for many years.

- She was built by Will A. Loman in Anacortes in 1912 and was sold to Pacific American Fisheries in 1917. She had a compound steam engine and burned crude oil. In this photo nine men, likely cannery workers, stand on her decks. Dark smoke blows from her stack as she cuts through the water. An American flag flies from the stern; a flag with six rows of eight stars is in her bow. Heavily forested hills are in the background. Eventually she was sold to Gilkey Brothers Towing Company.

- Clapboard church with steeple, four pointed arched windows on the side, three windows on the front, the middle one a large pointed arched window.The entrance is on the side at the front. There is a daylight basement with four windows across the front. The sign hanging by the entrance says "Church of the Advent - Welcome" There is a wooden shed attached to the rear of the church. Another building, perhaps a school, is adjacent to the church. This is likely the Advent Church that was located at 1309 I Street near West Holly; the City Mission building is adjacent.

- White City was owned by C.H. Chandler and W.F. Gwynn from 1906 - 1919. It was destroyed by fire. The ad indicates "monster airship will make two ascensions daily, Aug 23 until Aug. 29, inclusive." The giant airship was owned and piloted by Captain James Moore.

The boat mooring ariea belonged to T.J. Larsen Steel Co.
