On verso of photo: "Lecture halls and large areas such as this mathematics classroom are located on lower floors and are directly accessible from either a central hallway or from outdoors. Careful planning by a committee of college faculty and staff working in cooperation with the architects resulted in efficient space utilization. Even such details such as selection of chairs received careful consideration. Light-weight, flexible seats used throughout the building are comfortable and exceptionally durable as they are able to absorb the constant stresses of continued use."

On photo verso: "Any electrical power requirement for experiments of the type being carried out in this physics laboratory can be obtained from a central switchboard. trunk lines leading to each laboratory can carry AC or DC with voltage, amperage and other factors carefully controlled. Work tables in the labs can be moved to any desired location and plugged into floor or wall outlets fed by the desired trunk line. Water, natural gas and air are also supplied via similar centralized systems."
