- This is a laminated newspaper clipping. Caption: "Survey Damage at PAF-Supporting piling at Pacific American Fisheries on South Side took terrific beating over weekend when heavy runaway logs were driven against them by strong northeast wind and high waves. Looking over some of damage are Erwin Hube (right), PAF chief engineer, and Harold Norberg, cannery superintendent. Cannery floor cracked when piling was splintered and Hube says damage will run "into the thousands." Broken piling shown in center. PAF power barge and gillnet boat were sunk by logs.-Herald photo." Written in ink is "Nov. 14-1955-J-." Included with clipping are two letters, one from Louis F. Jones to D.L. Fickel of Pacific American Fisheries giving the latter the photo for "his files," and one from Fickel to Jones thanking him.
