This park, in the Sunnyland neighborhood, was created by Pierre Barlow Cornwall in 1889 on 8 1/3 acres bounded by Connecticut, King, Indiana and Lincoln Streets. The King Street entrance arch in this photo was designed by F. Stanley Piper who also designed Fairhaven Park's entrance arch. This Memorial Park arch was dedicated on Armistice Day, Nov. 11, 1922. There are puddles near the arch and a saw horse between the two front pillars.
