Dobbs was a Seattle photographer, famous for his Alaska Gold Rush photography. Biery met Dobbs in 1930 and later worked with him. See also photos 2213, 2233.

Back caption: "Dobbs darkroom 1937." Beverley B. Dobbs became famous as a photographer of the Alaska Gold Rush. Biery met Dobbs in 1930 and began working for him as Dobbs photographed fish processing operations at Pacific American Fisheries in Fairhaven.

Bellingham Business College,first located in the Douglas Building at 1407 Commercial, was started in the late 1920's. Since this photo is undated, the man pictured could be Earl Kinder who was in charge in the 1950's or one of several previous presidents.
