Attached note: "The "Catherine D" flagship of the Pacific American Fisheries (PAF) fleet, was 242 feet long and could carry 270 passengers and 84,000 cases of canned salmon. The ship, which had twin screws and 1000 horsepower engines, was built in 1918 at Deadman's Point (Poe's or Post Point) on the Fairhaven (Bellingham) waterfront for use int eh P.A.F.'s Alaska business. Itwas named for the grand daughter of E.B. Deming, Company President." See GB1122
