- In the immediate foreground is a craftsman house that is extant at 1912 Mill. Harris and 21st Street intersect beyond it where there is a low building that may be the store that is still there. In the middle ground, 22nd Street is visible going up theh hill crossing what is now the Interurban Trail. Beyond Harris is probably Donovan that runs far to the east, crossing what is I-5 today. It is open field where the Parkway Chateau and Mt. Baker Nursing Home are today. Chuckanut Mountain and other hills are visible in the background.

- Description
- Although there was a Masonic Hall at 1210 11th St. in the Fairhaven district, this is the Masonic Temple (also known as Masonic Hall) at 1103 State (formerly Elk) Street. According to the 1934 Bellingham, WA, City Directory the building adjacent to it was the Bellingham Plumbing Supply at 1107 State. The sign on the adjacent building reads "Bellingham P..." in the photograph. The cars parked in front are 1920-1930's era.

- The Baker Hotel, a multi-gabled, five-story wood-built hotel in Sehome (later Bellingham), WA

- Description
- According to "Looking Back," p. 100, this is the Grand Central Hotel that was located at Forest and Holly Streets. Built in 1890, in 1892 it became the first St. Luke's Hospital, and when the hospital moved, it became The Baker Hotel. The first two floors appear to be public with lodging rooms above. The Baker was demolished in 1926 to build a garage.

According to Radke's Pacific American Fisheries, Inc., the Oakwood was sold to French interests in 1918. (p. 108). A second unidentified ship is adjacent to the Oakwood.

- Andrew Ecklund was superintendent of the Blue Canyon mine. Hie is listed as 'miner,' 'mining engineer,' 'mechanic,' and 'civil engineer' in the Bellingham, WA, Polk's directories from 1905 until 1942. He died in 1943, at age 74, Christine died one year later.
