Identical to photo gb3511 but slightly clearer. View of snow-covered, glaciated Mount Baker. possibly from Chowder Ridge or Skyline Divide. In the foreground a forest of fir trees. Twin Sisters are to the right of Mount Baker.
The middlegound and foreground also have large snow patches. In the immediate left forground are tree trunks with no needles or leaves that look dead; to the right of them are groups of healthy fir trees.
Caption on front in ink: "Copyright 1909 By H. Engberg Bellingham Wash". Possibly taken from the Easton Glacier on the south side of the mountain. Dense fir forest in the foreground and rocky outcrops on both sides in the middleground.
