Institute for Critical Disability Studies
Critical Disability Studies Undergraduate and Graduate Student Scholarship and Creative Work
The Critical Disability Studies program is hosted by the Institute for Critical Disability Studies, an interdisciplinary institution devoted to disability culture, advocacy, arts, and community. Students come to Critical Disability Studies to learn about disability identity, the history and present of disability activism, the creative lives of disabled people, and principles of access and universal design. In 2022, the Critical Disability Studies program started an interdisciplinary minor.
We have created this archive of student work that has been featured at the annual Spring Scholars Week Student Showcase. It is our hope that these works will be shared widely in Critical Disability Studies classes as examples of exemplary work in the field by young scholars, creative writers, and artists.
