Umbrella Man - China
I planned to snap a picture of my friend from the gate of the Forbidden City with Tiananmen Square in the background. Looking through the viewfinder just about to take the picture, I saw this man in an umbrella hat rise up slowly out of nowhere directly in the center of the frame; I thought it was so funny that I ended up taking a picture of him right there. In China, no one would give much bother trying to stay out of each other's ways in situations like these, rather, people would wait patiently for the brief, brief moments when there were gaps in the crowds to take their pictures. The guy in my photo had just been squatting, taking a few photos of his son off to the left of the picture.
