Moved and seconded that (the name) "Knormalstad" be adopted as the official name for the school "80". Carried Annual school excursion discuss. Moved and seconded that Mr. Kolstad put before the Student Association for their choice, three trips: to Victoria B. C., a cruise around the islands, or ocean trip. Carried. Page 01_148 (volume 01 page 148) 1922-07-10 - Regular Meeting of Board Miss Bailey late. Moved and seconded that Piper and Taft bill in the amount of $50.73 be paid. Carried. Moved and seconded that the name Knormalstad be retained for the present but that the letter "K" be omitted. Carried. Moved and seconded that a change in the ratio of the apportionment of funds be made as follow: General Fund 45 Messenger 40, Athletic 40. The change to be made subject to approval of President. Carried. Meeting adjourned Peal M. Bailey , sec. 1922-07-17 - Regular Meeting of Board Mr. Kolstad late. Robert Tunstall absent. Reported by Mr. Heckman that change in ratio of apportionment of funds as stated in report of July 10 had been approved by the President. Moved and seconded that the following bills be allowed: Normal Book Store $.50 Irish Printing Co. 212.00 Carried. Moved and seconded that the name of the School "80" be changed from Normalstad to Kolstad 80. Not carried. Moved and seconded that the Board of Control ratify the action of the chairman of the Board of Control in drawing check for $1000 as payment to bind contract for "Indianapolis for Victoria trip. Carried. Moved and seconded that copies of revised constitution be posted on the bulletin board at earliest convenience, and the same called to the attention of the Student Association at the first regular assembly following the posting of the copies and a regular meeting of student body to be held one week following the posting of the notices. Carried. Report by Mr. Heckman concerning the apportionment of funds for May and June is as follows: Athletics $527 Lecture Course 1757 General Fund 593.19 Moved and seconded that the secretary be instructed to draw check in the amount of $201.75 to the Bellingham National Bank, payment on Normalstad 80 with interest accrued to July 1, 1922. Moved and seconded that the matter of the refund of surplus money collected for the trip be left to the decision of those taking the trip, Saturday if possible, if not at the earliest possible date. Carried. Meeting Adjourned, Pearl M. Bailey- sec. 1922-07-24 - Regular Meeting of Board Moved and seconded that secretary be instructed to draw check in the amount of $3.65 to pay deficit in interest on payment made to Bellingham National Bank July 17. Carried. Moved and seconded that the matter of the disposal of the surplus funds from the Victoria Trip be brought to the attention of the Student Assembly Wednesday and Friday and that a ballot be prepared giving the various ways in which the money may be used. To wit: 1. Refund 2. General Fund 3. Normalstad Improvement 4. Excursion Sinking Fund 5. Gymnasium Fund That the student who made the trip be asked to indicate their preference. Carried. Moved and seconded that the action of the chairmen in drawing check in the amount of $200 final payment (for) in Indianapolis for Victoria trip be approved. Carried. Secretary instructed to five Mt. Waldo copy of motion regarding the disposal of surplus funds from Victoria Trip. Moved and seconded that an All-School lawn party be held on campus August 11. Carried. Moved and seconded that Miss Bailey continue as secretary for remainder of summer term. Carried. Meeting adjourned, Pearl M. Bailey- sec. Moved and seconded that the following bills be allowed: To: Congress Cigar Store- Baseballs—7.50 Athletic Fund Art Engraving Co. cut, mounted 4.10—messenger Carried. Under discussion of Student mixer to be given August 11 it was agreed that arrangements be given over to four committees—namely: 1. Play Committee- Miss Pearson advisor 2. Program " , Miss Bailey " 3. Refreshment " , Miss Sennes " 4. Stage Setting "—Mr. Tunstall (Meeting) Moved and seconded that surplus fund from Victoria Trip be turned into General Fund to be expended by Board of Control as all other money of the General Fund is expended. Motion withdrawn from Victoria trip be put into Gymnasium Fund, and that the remainder be used for improvement of Normalstad. Amendment made to the foregoing motion that $300 instead of $250 be given to Gymnasium Fund. Amendment lost. Original motion carried. Moved and seconded that Wade Bristol be given the bonus as recommended by the former Board of Control. Carried. Mr. Heckman appointed to submit to Board of Control at next regular meeting a tenatice list of dates for school socials excursions etc. for the coming years. Adjournment- Pearl M. Bailey- sec. ##
