Unidentified view of South Hill, Bellingham, Washington
Looking east up the hill from perhaps 14th Street. In the foreground is a dirt road with a hill of dirt and tree remnants beyond it. Above that are four houses, two of which are large Victorians. The Victorian on the top of the hill is probably the Roland Gamwell house located at 1001 16th Street, built in 1890 by Longstaff and Black. On the left side of the photo are what appear to be three row houses in a line from east to west. A woman in a long dark dress and hat stands near the row houses with her back to the camera.
