South Bay School, Lake Whatcom - Front and side exterior of small, abandoned building surrounded by overgrown brush, saplings
Caption on reverse in ink: " South Bay School, Mar. 12, 1971 - Built in 1892 (Over 78 years old) - Dist. #52, Organized Jan. 3, 1891. First teacher in District: Clara Belle Foster; First teacher, this school: Chas. E. Kagay." The building is a one-room schoolhouse with no glass in the windows, no door, and the structure is leaning.
