WWU Recycle Center - Zero Waste Coordinator
observed throughout the Recovery Drive an abundance of T-shirts donated to the Recycle Center. To encourage reuse, my coworker Ethan and I wanted to find a way to upcycle t-shirts. We decided to make tote bags since people moving in will start grocery shopping. This project is intended to reduce the number of reusable and single-use grocery bags bought and teach basic sewing skills. I pulled out some shirts from the donations and encouraged those attending to bring their own.
