Fairhaven Park with Chuckanut Drive in the foreground and the park in the middle ground.
Fairhaven Park was designed by John C. Olmstead of Olmstead Brothers in 1910 on land donated by C. X. Larrabee in 1906. The two pavillions are shown and the original log entrance (built in 1915)with a sign above it that reads "Fairhaven Park." A Model-T or Model-A automobile is on the road that winds though the park. In the left background houses and buildings of Happy Valley are visible, including Larrabee School and probably the Lutheran Church that was located at 19th and Donovan Streets. In the 1920's automobile tourism was popular and there was a campground in the park where the parking lot is located today.
