Sustainable Connections Internship
A big portion of my job was collecting leftover food from different businesses and delivering it to people in need. This part of the job was not only rewarding but it was also a great learning experience coordinating with different people within the community and making sure nothing went to waste. I grew close with many of the people I interacted with and could see myself continuing to grow these relationships that would only enforce these good habits. This sort of business perspective of donating excess food that otherwise would have gone to waste is not only a blessing to people who need food, but it can't hurt a business, only help reduce our landfills from growing from excess waste.
