Washington Conservation Corps Crew Member
My internship with the Washington Conservation Corps showed me the honorable and sometimes excruciating work that goes into the maintenance and betterment of trails and public lands. I learned basic operating techniques and maintenance of power tools such as chainsaws and brush cutters, learned the ins and outs of backpacking, and assisted in both the construction of bridges and minimizing the erosion produced by said construction.
