Accompanying text: "Paintings by Marvin Thompson. The above picture - at work in his studio - 1014 Mason St. "Mt Shuksan" is the picture for "Galen Biery" well known historian. Marvin has won many awards out of the "five western states" His picture won the most popular vote at the Frye Art Museum in Seatte, Wn." Marvin Thompson was a a painting contractor in Bellingham from the mid-1950s through 1960. From 1965 to 1980 he is listed in the Polk Directory as "Commercial Artist."
