At the very top left of the image is the sand and gravel quarry. Eldridge Avenue extends along bluff across the upper portion of the photograph. On the waterfront are, from left to right: Bellingham Furniture Manufacturers, Inc.; a Port of Bellingham web house; Wrang Shipyards (to the right of the web house); above that, the white rectangular building was a potato storage; Carlson Shipyard; Bellingham Marine Railway & Boatbuilding Co.; Shell Oil Company across the street. The boat mooring ariea belonged to T.J. Larsen Steel Co.
