Young girl (possibly Catherine Deming) holding decorated christening bottle
This is most likely Catherine Deming, granddaughter of E.B. Deming, Pacific American Fisheries president, on the occasion of christening the steamer ship named after her, the "Catherine D," on February 2, 1918. The ship was a wooden steamer built to carry passengers and cannery crews to and from Alaska. Owned by PAF until 1938 when it was sold to the US Navy; it later became a supply vessel in WWII.
