George Kellogg house on 11th Street
Caption on front in ink: "Geo. Kellogg Home" and on reverse in ink: "on 11th St. still standing - mid-1880's - built by George Kellogg & son John (later mayor of B'ham)" The house is located at 717 11th St. between Bennett and Easton. George Kellogg came to Whatcom County in 1871 from Iowa; he left in 1874 and returned in 1883. While living in Iowa after leaving Whatcom County, he was elected judge of Story County. He was a lawyer and an auditor of Whatcom County. He was an early elder of St. James presbyterian Church on 14th Street.
