Bellingham waterfront [audio-visual clip]
A clip from (silent) home movie footage taken by the late businessman and community leader J.J. Donovan, showing the Bellingham waterfront in approximately 1924-1928. Historic landmarks and sights in this clip include the Quackenbush wharf, a Great Northern Railroad passenger train, Citizen’s Dock, waterfront mill operations and the old St. Joseph’s hospital building on South Hill. There is a fleeting glimpse of a passing streetcar at the thirty-four seconds mark.
