Studying Trees from the Inside Out
As an environmental science student, many of my classes abroad involve doing field studies. For my Natural History of Mesoamerica class, we studied plants in Monteverde. This photo was taken as I was inside of a Strangled Fig tree that had taken over the host tree and left a hollow inside.
