ca. 1968. Original inventory #00598.4. On verso of photo: "The IBM Series 160, Model 40 computer, heart of Western's new million-dollar computer system, is located in an air-conditioned room where temperature and humidity can be controlled to protect sensitive components. Plans for the system include installation of typewrite-like devices at various locations throughout campus. These remote units, connected to the computer will form a "logical" utility that can be used for research, classroom instruction of administrative purposes."
