He is looking to his left and is in front of shelves of cigarettes, lighters, and bottles of beer, Odell was born in Grayling, Michigan in 1896 and came to Bellingham with his parents in 1904. He worked at many different jobs including at Pacific American Fisheries, Larson's Lumber Mill, construction work, roofing, ship building, box factories, farming in Wenatchee, owned The Stagg and Kulshan Tavern in Bellingham for 30 years, served on the Bellingham Board of Review for 17 1/2 years. He married Marion Anderson Burgess in 1954. He died in 1980.

Accompanied by a hand written history by Earl Utter, a great grandson of August Utter who built the grist mill. Part of the history, dated June 4, 69, reads: "The Utter grist mill built by the Reed boys in about 1880, their saw mill was operated by turbine and penstock in [the]grist mill. After the grist mill was completed, my grandfather, August Ritter took over and ground flour for the Indians and early settlers for many years..."

- Caption on reverse in ink: "Frank Wright Lummi Island" and printed on front: "Oct 66" Large two story craftsman house with large, mullioned triple windows on the lower level and several sets of smaller windows on the second story. There is a covered entrance on the front with steps leading up to it on two sides. Frank Wright came to Lummi Island in 1902 and by 1909 was the owner of Carlisle Packing Co. on Lummi Island. He was the largest landowner on Lummi Island and president of the Lummi Island Land Co. This was his home. It was destroyed by fire in 1989.

- Bellingham ….a Look Back - The Blue Canyon Coal Mine (copy of 1906 Bellingham Buyer article)

- Copy of an article from the Bellingham Buyer, February 1966, titled "Bellingham...a Look Back - The Blue Canyon Coal Mine - Photos and Research Materials Courtesy of Galen Biery" describes the coal claim purchased originally by James Wardner in 1890 and sold shortly after to the Helena Syndicate out of Montana. It was managed and run by J.H. Bloedel and J. J. Donovan. It operated until may 1921. An explosion on April 8, 1895 took the lives of twenty three men. Article included photos of the mine at the south end of Lake Whatcom; the bunkers at Bryant Ave. and State Street in Bellingham where coal was stored and loaded onto ships; the steamer Ella that towed scows of coal on Lake Whatcom; Jim Wardner; Fairhaven with Wardner's "Castle" visible. Also a sectional view of the Blue canyon Mine.
