Note on back: "Cutlines for 1st has station -story scheduled for Dec. 26: The Grand Vista service station at the corner of 14th and State (then Elk Street) was one of the first in Bellingham for the primary purpose of dispensing gasoline and oil. Most other gas pumps were either connected with garages or were situated at curbside and operated by grocery or drug stores. This station was owned by Briggs Burpee.
