- Bellingham Canning Co. was founded about 1905 by Robert Abraham Welsh III; he and his son, R.A. Welsh IV, ran the company until it was sold to Pacific American Fisheries in 1935. PAF had sold Bellingham Canning Co. products from the beginning of the company.

- Note on back: "Cutlines for 1st has station -story scheduled for Dec. 26: The Grand Vista service station at the corner of 14th and State (then Elk Street) was one of the first in Bellingham for the primary purpose of dispensing gasoline and oil. Most other gas pumps were either connected with garages or were situated at curbside and operated by grocery or drug stores. This station was owned by Briggs Burpee. - Unidentified four story sandstone(?) building with retail space on the ground level and several identified adjoining businesses: The Senate (109-111 West Holly), Rathman Raymond Shoe Co. (113 West Holly), Del Mar Hotel (1223 1/2 Cornwall). This is the building at the intersection of Cornwall and Holly that today houses The Greenhouse. There is a Model T or A car parked in front of the Del Mar Hotel. A stoplight hangs in the intersection of Cornwall and Holly. See also photo 2914.
