- The street separates the two rows of trucks and there are houses at the end of the rows. Beyond the houses is a sign that reads "Hoff & Pin?ey Lumber." Hoff & Pinkey Inc was first located at Ohio and Dean Streets and later at 112 East Ohio (at Cornwall). The company manufactured and sold lumber and other buidling materials. It is unclear why the trucks are lined up, waiting.

- Built under Public Works Administration and Federal Works Agency programs of the New Deal in the Art Deco style. Begun in 1938, it was dedicated on January 4, 1940. Two stories with ten two story windows across the front it has three entrance doors in the center front.

- Two men standing by a stack of plywood, lifting up the top sheet to examine it. One man wears a long overcoat, the other a short jacket; both wear fedora hats. The man on the right in the overcoat is Cecil Morse, president of Bellingham Plywood; the other is probably Victor Olson, vice president and general manager. This is one of forty eight in the Bellingham Plywood Corporation photo series; there is also a Galen Biery scrapbook of photos of the Bellingham Plywood Corporation.

- Aerial view of Bellingham's industrial waterfront. The multi-shed roofed structure on the far left is Forest Furnture Manufacturing, which later became Mt. Baker Plywood. Their logpond can be seen. The white box of a building to the right of Mt. Baker Plywood is for potato cold storage. Bellingham Marine Boat Building owns the balance of the waterfront structures. The bridge on the right is where Eldridge Avenue crosses Squalicum Creek.

Undeveloped, wooded hills rise above the city in the background. Lower left corner of photo is damaged.
