- Kay y la Puesta del Sol - Morocco
- Date
- 2014
- Description
- After racing through the desert in the back of an old, worn in Jeep with our guide blasting Jay-Z through a wired in mp3 player, we stopped to watch the sunset. Our guides were taking a moment to make their evening prayers while my friends and I were taking a moment to realize what an adventure we were having. Kay jumped. The photo was snapped. Pure joy and bliss and comfort. I will never stop exploring. I will never stop seeing. I will never stop experiencing.

- Las Setas - Seville, Spain
- Date
- 2014
- Description
- I captured this panoramic photo of the fantastic wooden sculpture Espacio Metropol Parasol during my final weeks abroad. The structures are known more affectionately by the locals as Las Setas which translates to 'the mushrooms.' I visited Seville twice and was awe-struck both times by these structures. My favorite part of this location is that when the mushrooms were being built, starting in 2005, the construction revealed ancient roman ruins from the first century underground. The 6 mushrooms now span 490x230 feet, but also below there is a museum where you can learn some of Seville's incredible history and see the ruins for yourself. Modern juxtaposed with the ancient.

- Cueva y Colores - Spain
- Date
- 2014
- Description
- This panoramic action shot was taken during one of my first nights in my home for five months, Granada. The southern region of Spain, known as Andalucia, was the birthplace of flamenco. In the hills of the oldest part of the city of Granada, rest the Salamanca Caves that are currently occupied by the gypsy minority. At night the caves are open to locals and tourists alike to come drink, eat, and watch incredible performances that blends music, dancing, singing with the history and passion of the artists.

- Las Escaleras de La Catedral de Granada - Spain
- Date
- 2014
- Description
- Next to one of the main plazas of Granada sits the the grand Cathedral. Everyday, come rain or shine, performers were there to greet the tourists and on the weekends church bells rang with joy to celebrate a new marriage. On weekdays students filtered in and out for school tours, and always large masses were held. Engaging with the people in this square was when I finally began to feel that Granada was my home. Eventually, the cathedral became a normal sight to me, and I became more concerned with getting to my favorite churros con chocolate restaurant around the corner and catching an impromptu flamenco show.
