Title: Magical Realism - Paris, France

Description: The Dali museum was my favorite museum in Paris. It's located in Montmartre, which is personally the coolest area of Paris, and it is a tiny museum with Dali's best works of art. The melting clocks were basically everywhere on his works of art and I loved it so much it really inspired me more than I thought it would. He has such a way with Magical Realism and it really shows in all of his art pieces. He was also very ahead of his time and his work was very satirical to me which was inspiring. I have always had a tougher time connecting with art but all of his work really got me.

Title: Tours with Kevin: Rome, Italy

Description: A teacher in the program took us on an onsite tour to the Pantheon for our class, Genius Artists in Genius Cities, this class takes us all over Rome on foot and teaches us about the different types of art and architecture. For our first on-site tour we went to the pantheon where we were taught about the giant hole in the top as well as many other facts about the building.

Description: This photo I really liked, even though it wasn't exactly a selfie, because it captures how happy I was to finally be in France. It was the first weekend in the program and I was still trying to get to know people but it really felt like I had bonded with my new friends that weekend and it was where I knew I was going to have a great time here by myself. I liked the background of it as well because you can see the giant beautiful Chateau in the background as well as the gold figures in the fountain. It really captures how incredible that place is.

Title: Handmade Pizza

Description: This photo was taken when we were in Florence taking a cooking class with our entire group program. It was great to get to be fully immersed in the culture of pizza from scratch and putting it in the oven and enjoying it with our classmates. Along with this we also make pasta from scratch as well and ate that along with our own personalized pizza. This was a great way to see how Italians value their food.

Title: Eiffel Tower at Night

Description: This photo was taken on one of my last nights in Paris. I hadn't been able to see the Eiffel Tower light up and I finally was able to go see it and it literally was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen in my life. It reminded me how lucky I am to be able to see this amazing tower that I had dreamed about for years.

Title: Solo Trip

Description: This photo was taken on my solo trip to Switzerland. I had spent the entire weekend walking around Geneva and traveling on my own without people and it was something I had never done before, which was very exciting. I had a really great time walking around and exploring on my own and snapping photos along the way. This one was taken moments before a downpour that I got caught in but I liked it because the water is so blue and the lighthouse in the middle is a great eye-catcher.

This is me and my friend Emma on the top of Piazza Michaelangelo with the most stunning view of Florence. Emma and I only knew each other a little bit before going to Italy together and now we have become closer than ever.
