Description: Caption on mounting reads: "View of "Bellingham" from "Fairhaven" taken in 1884. "Fairhaven" consisted of Dan Harris(in boat), his story-and-a-half, square-front building(now part of P.A.F. offices), a flag-pole and a tiny dock. The barque "Columbia" taking lumber cargo from "red" mill,(now E.K. Wood Co.). "Whatcom" in the distance and "Sehome" concealed by mill point." Included with this photo is a note that reads: "Bertha L. Harris-D: Nov. 20, 1888. 146.40 acres-Sold last parcels Apr. 9, 1889 to Bennett for $50,000."
