Several people and a dog, sitting and standing in front of L-shaped frame house
-
Date
-
1905
-
Description
-
Caption, written by Mary Larrabee Bourque, on reverse in ink: "The ranch house at Brook-Nook stock ranch - Home Park (Madison Co. - near W. Yellowstone) Montana. I am sitting on my fathers lap - my 2 older brothers, Charley & Ned, my mother, Annie Akers, our nurse. I don't know who the other 2 gents. are. At right - Heoey(?), the Chinese cook & the ranch hands. I always liked this picture because of the contrast between what ranch hands really looked like & what one sees in the movies. I admit they were cleaned up for dinner, but still. Taken before my brother Ben was born, so must be 1905."
