The Nelson Block is located at the southeast corner of 11th Street and Harris Avenue in the Fairhaven district of Bellingham, WA. IT was built by J.P. Nelson using money he received from the sale of a fishtrap to Roland Onffroy, the founder of Pacific American Fisheries. (See Daniel E. Turberville's "Illustrated Inventory of Historic Bellingham Buildings") Back caption: "American National Bank. So. Bell. Nov 3, 1925. In 1925, the President of American National Bank was I.J. Adair; Vice Presidents were Cyrus Gates and Everett B. Deming.
