Title: Ascension Cathedral

Description: I love this photo for so many reasons. The way the cathedral looked in the sunlight, the fact that it was such a cloudless day in Veliko Tarnovo, and the fact that the jet streams in the sky in the background remind me of shooting stars. I couldn't be more grateful to be in such an incredible country like Bulgaria!

Title: Sounds of the Rainforest

Description: On a night hike for a field study class at La Selva, I ran into many red eyed tree frogs. These frogs are a national symbol for Costa Rica and difficult to spot on the wild. I was very lucky to see as many as I did, especially this mating pair. The photo was shot on my phone camera with a little teamwork to get the flashlight lighting perfect. Thanks to the frogs for being very patient with me and showing off their beautiful colors.

Title: Gentiana Kurroo

Description: There was an abundance of wildflowers in the Himalayas, but this was one of my favorites. In a country surrounded by jaw-dropping landscapes, sometimes it's the little things that can take your breath away. These wildflowers grew everywhere so taking a picture of one at the top of the hill at one of our earlier campsites felt like a no-brainer and I loved how it turned out.

Description: After coming to Korea, I have discovered a newfound love of Korean barley tea and I find myself drinking it almost every day. Busan was no exception and as I walked along the seaside trail of Haeundae beach, I briefly set down my drink to take in the beautiful scenery. Everything around me was so stunning and I was glad to have my little bottle of barley tea along with me.

Title: Solo Trip

Description: This photo was taken on my solo trip to Switzerland. I had spent the entire weekend walking around Geneva and traveling on my own without people and it was something I had never done before, which was very exciting. I had a really great time walking around and exploring on my own and snapping photos along the way. This one was taken moments before a downpour that I got caught in but I liked it because the water is so blue and the lighthouse in the middle is a great eye-catcher.

Description: All of the churches I saw and visited in Italy were just absolutely breathtaking. This particular church was so beautiful, and in this photograph, in contrast to the clouds, it was astounding.
