- This picture was taken in City Bell, Argentina. It is the town that my mother grew up in before moving to the United States at 16. Today we still have family living there and I am pictured with my great aunt Blanca, who I surprised when I showed up at her doorstep after not seeing her for five years. She could not believe I had come all that way to study and live so near to her (I'm an hour train ride away). It was hard to keep the secret since it took months of planning but it was worth it!

- Now I know we aren't wearing any Western Gear but that's because I didn't wear it around the city at all. This is me and my friend Emma on the top of Piazza Michaelangelo with the most stunning view of Florence. Emma and I only knew each other a little bit before going to Italy together and now we have become closer than ever.
