Description: There was an abundance of wildflowers in the Himalayas, but this was one of my favorites. In a country surrounded by jaw-dropping landscapes, sometimes it's the little things that can take your breath away. These wildflowers grew everywhere so taking a picture of one at the top of the hill at one of our earlier campsites felt like a no-brainer and I loved how it turned out.

Description: This was taken at a memorial for fallen hikers and locals on one of our highest trekking elevations (nearly 5,000 meters) near the town of Lobuche. The memorial felt like a testament to the human spirit and the incredible obstacles that face scientists, locals and hikers who want to experience this incredible ecosystem.
