Description: While on a small weekend trip, I had the chance to visit the Cloud forests of Monteverde. This is a really special place because there are not many cloud forests left in the world today. I am grateful that I got the chance to see this one, especially from the hanging bridges above the canopy. I am proud as a Viking to support the environment, even in other countries.

Description: Our classrooms were a bit different from most. Each day was spent hiking anywhere between 6-12 miles and our learning took place outside of a traditional classroom setting. It was fascinating to get to see and experience the cultural, physical and biological processes that we were learning about.
